Eddie and the Cruisers
Released in 1983. Stars Michael Paré as the title character. Eddie, who seems to be a combination of Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, and Jim Morrison, is the leader of an early '60s band that was recording its second record when Eddie's car went off a bridge. The music in the film was recorded by John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band.
