Bacewicz, Grazyna

Polish composer Grazyna Bacewicz (1909-1969) was born in Lodz and died in Warsaw. She was a pianist, an accomplished violinist, and set both largely aside to concentrate on composition. In preparation of this, Nadia Boulanger was one of her teachers.
