Although best known for playing Inspector Morse's sidekick Lewis, he has appeared in a variety of other television drama, and a few movies.
He was one of "Auf Wiedersehen, Pet"'s original cast, was part of "Peak Practice"'s original cast, and also appeared in the multi-Oscar-winning film "The English Patient" (1996).
